Hansi Flick is on the verge of reaching 100 victories as Barcelona manager, with the Champions League meeting against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes offering the German a chance to achieve the landmark against one of Europe’s leading sides.
Flick has consistently played down individual records, preferring to focus on Barcelona’s performances and collective objectives.
Yet his remarkable start at the club has made another milestone difficult to ignore.
After guiding Barça to a ninth consecutive league victory, he now has the opportunity to record his 100th win in just his 129th match across all competitions.
Notably, those victories have already delivered two La Liga titles, two Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey.
Flick approaches milestone that only Luis Enrique reached faster
The timing of the potential landmark is quite interesting as Flick is facing Luis Enrique, a former Barcelona coach, who has achieved this feat in record time with the Blaugrana.
As such, Enrique reached 100 victories in 126 matches, making him the fastest manager in the club’s history to achieve the figure.
Pep Guardiola required 139 matches to reach the same total, while Luis Enrique ultimately finished his Barcelona tenure with 138 wins from 181 games, recording a win rate of 76.2%.
Flick’s current record puts him in comparable territory. Reaching 100 victories in 129 matches would give him a win rate of approximately 77.5%, placing him ahead of Luis Enrique’s final percentage.
However, the German will need to overcome his former counterpart’s PSG side to complete the milestone on Tuesday.
Barcelona’s consistency under Flick stands out
Flick’s record has been built on a consistent ability to avoid defeat as well as collect victories.
Across the 128 matches completed before the PSG fixture, Barcelona have lost 19 times and drawn 10, meaning they have avoided defeat in approximately 85% of their games.
That level of consistency has made Barcelona difficult opponents across La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

Flick’s team have suffered defeats against very few sides, with Atletico Madrid standing out as the club that has beaten him most often.
To put it in perspective, Atletico have defeated Flick’s Barcelona three times across 10 meetings in different competitions.
Real Madrid, by contrast, have managed to beat his side only once.
PSG challenge offers Flick chance to strengthen his legacy
The contest against Luis Enrique gives the milestone more significance.
This is because Flick is facing a coach who previously established one of Barcelona’s fastest winning records and who now leads the opposition.
Indeed, Flick has insisted that statistics are secondary to the team’s progress, but reaching 100 victories in 129 matches would provide another measure of his influence at the club.
