After a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, Atlanta Dream superstar Angel Reese had a thinly veiled message for the Golden State Valkyries.
Speaking to the media after the Dream polished off a 97-71 win over the Valkyries at State Farm Arena, Reese was asked about how leadership style and how it has evolved over the course of her debut season with the Dream.

Her answer reflected her consistent, high-energy approach -- as well as her mentality that has coursed through Games 2 and 3 of the Finals, both double-digit wins for Atlanta.
"I think it's contagious when you have a mentality where I'm hype all the time and I'm bringing the confidence to everybody," Reese said. "'Y'all aren't taking this from us. In my heart, I'm not letting you take this from us.' I think it becomes contagious through the whole team, just being able to want it more than anybody else."

After the Dream dropped Game 1 of the Finals in San Francisco, Reese took it upon herself to wreck the Valkyries' vaunted defense in the next two games.
The Defensive Player of the Year's 30-point, 16-rebound performance in Game 2 on Monday led the Dream to its first-ever WNBA Finals victory, and she followed it up in Game 3 with her third consecutive double-double -- making her the youngest-ever player with that many double-doubles in a row during the Finals.
So far, Reese hasn't let the Valkyries take anything after Golden State's narrow Game 1 win. With two more wins, Reese and the Dream will have taken the game's ultimate prize for themselves.
