(ANSA) - ROMA, 13 OTT - In Singapore, three companies—two of them Italian—were honored for their contribution to bilateral economic relations. The ceremony for the 17th edition of the ICCS Business Awards, organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (ICCS), took place in the presence of the Italian Ambassador, Dante Brandi, and Sergio Strozzi, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The awards recognize companies’ contributions to the development of economic relations between Italy and Singapore, honoring both Italian companies operating in the Singaporean market and Singaporean investors who choose Italy.
Jupiter 57, named the best Italian SME in Singapore, stood out for its distribution of high-end Italian food and beverage products, contributing to the promotion of “Made in Italy.” The recent opening of a branch in Malaysia strengthens the company’s presence in the region.
De Nora, recognized as the best Italian multinational in Singapore, has been operating in the country for over thirty years in the water treatment technology sector. The acquisition of BW Water and a new project valued at approximately 30 million Singapore dollars confirm the group’s commitment to the local market.
The award for the best Singaporean investor in Italy went to K2 Strategic, which plans to invest up to 5.3 billion euros in the development and management of a hyperscale data center campus on the southern outskirts of Milan. The project highlights the opportunities offered by Italy in the digital infrastructure sector and the interest of Singaporean investors in strategic segments of the Italian economy.
The three awards attest to the growing complexity of economic relations between Italy and Singapore, which combine trade with investment, industrial expertise, and collaborations in high-tech sectors. Singapore serves as a key hub for Italian companies interested in Southeast Asian markets, while Italy offers Singaporean investors opportunities for expansion in the European market.
