A video of Metro FM hosts having a good time on the dancefloor has sent social media into a spin, with fans zeroing in on one person in particular: Zola Mhlongo, Prince Kaybee's ex-girlfriend and baby mama.
The clip, which circulated on X on 11 October, showed the radio personalities in their element, but it was Zola who stole the show. Dressed in a black dress, she drew praise from peeps who quickly dusted off the old conversation about whether Prince Kaybee let a good thing slip through his fingers.
The video may have started as a lighthearted snippet of radio hosts letting loose, but for Mzansi it quickly became a referendum on one of the more talked-about celebrity splits in recent memory.
Zola and Kaybee’s relationship and breakup
Media personality Zola Mhlongo and musician Prince Kaybee began dating around 2019 and publicly confirmed their romance in 2020. The couple welcomed their son, Mmino Milani, in October 2021, but their relationship was rocked by a cheating scandal in May that year after screenshots of Kaybee’s private messages with another woman surfaced online. The DJ admitted to being unfaithful and publicly apologised to Zola. The pair eventually went their separate ways, with their breakup widely linked to the infidelity scandal. They have since focused on co-parenting their son.

Fans weigh in on Prince Kaybee's 'fumble'
The comments section turned into a full debate about the pair's history. Some netizens sided firmly with Zola, while others offered a more complicated read on the situation.
@KastroSol kicked things off with a straightforward declaration:
"And my favourite of them all is this one in a black dress. Yes, I'm that kinda guy."
@TebogoMrembu offered a more measured take:
"She looks like she has an overwhelming personality, too much energy; some men prefer the latter, I suppose."
@Tata_ka_Khai clapped back at that kind of snap judgment:
"Lol! This is what dudes will say when they only know a person from pictures."
@mavusana_01 flipped the script entirely, asking:
"What if she is the one who fumbled?"
@reey_ch wrote:
"He further embarrassed her on the podcast by saying they would do it in public behind abandoned buildings."
@lwandleduma79 brought some comic relief, referencing media personality Somizi:
"Somizi is the only slander person I know onomkhaba. 😂🤣😪💯🤦🏾"
@u_Squire had a completely different priority, asking:
"Who's that phara with a red cap?"
Zola spoke about being a long-distance mom
Zola Mhlongo made the difficult decision to let her young son Mino live with her mother in Durban while she builds her career in Johannesburg.
The broadcaster travels to Durban every two weeks to take Mino to school and spend quality time with him, calling it 'long-distance parenting'.
