Aden – The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarus al-Zubaidi, called for a peaceful rally in Aden and across the southern governorates on Wednesday, October 14, in support of the Southern Armed Forces and in defense of the national project, under the banner of the "Million-Man March for General Popular Mobilization to Defend South Arabia and its National Cause."
In a statement published on the "X" platform, al-Zubaidi said the call comes in implementation of the resolutions of the expanded extraordinary meeting of the Council's central and local bodies, held in Aden on October 4, which approved the general popular mobilization.
Supporting the Forces and Protecting Security
He explained that the event aims to safeguard the gains of the South and the goals of its liberation revolution, and to protect its security and sovereignty in the face of what he described as the threats posed by the Houthis and their Iranian expansionist project.
He praised the performance of the Southern Armed Forces on the battlefronts, emphasizing that the people of the South and its forces represent the bulwark of their homeland, and that the Southern cause cannot be ignored or bypassed.
Al-Zubaidi emphasized the peaceful nature of the rally, calling for support for the efforts of the Aden police and the Security Belt forces in protecting the capital, and for continued support for the southern forces in their confrontations with the Houthis.
The event, dubbed the "Million-Man March," coincides with the 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, combining the commemoration of the occasion with a reaffirmation of commitment to the southern national project.
