Financial software provider Intuit has agreed to acquire revenue and payroll management platform Sequence for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2021 by Riya Grover and Eamon Jubbawy, Sequence uses AI agents to help B2B finance and commercial teams automate the full quote-to-revenue lifecycle, including deal configuration and pricing, billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.
The acquisition will broaden the capabilities of Intuit's proprietary Intuit Enterprise Suite, a resource planning and consolidation platform, and QuickBooks Online Advanced, its cloud-based accounting platform.
Intuit says in a statement announcing the deal: "With Sequence, Intuit will give mid-market businesses and the accounting firms who advise them a single platform to price, bill, and collect on revenue tied to consumption, usage, seats, and milestones."
Speaking on the acquisition, Sequence CEO Riya Grover tells FinTech Futures exclusively: "Finance teams spend too much time on spreadsheets and manual workarounds just to understand what they’ve earned. Sequence will help Intuit manage daily revenue tasks for customers, from contract through billing to revenue recognition, so finance teams can focus on the work that matters most."

Founded in 1983, Intuit develops software to help individuals and small businesses manage finances, taxes, and accounting.
