The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has reacted to his critics, who have accused him of handing the state-owned hospital over to the Federal Government for no reason.
DAILY POST recalls that a few weeks ago, Governor Uba Sani handed over the Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan, to the Federal Government.
This has generated mixed feelings among his political opponents.
Governor Uba Sani said the handing over of the hospital was to enable people to access quality healthcare service delivery.
He wrote on his verified Facebook page on Monday: "The handover of Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan, to the Federal Government for an upgrade to a Federal Medical Centre advances our commitment to accessible, quality healthcare.
"This milestone will bring specialist care closer to our people, save lives and relieve suffering. We remain committed to protecting human dignity and building a healthcare system that provides every resident of Kaduna State with compassionate, quality and affordable medical services."
