The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has extended the bidding deadline for the Rs. 3.2 billion Capital House project by another 15 days, giving interested companies more time to finalize their designs and technical proposals.
The deadline was initially set for the first week of October before being moved to October 12. It has now been extended to October 27 for the second time.
The CDA plans to build Capital House in Diplomatic Enclave, similar to the existing provincial houses of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan. The facility will provide dedicated accommodation and related services under one roof.
According to the original PC-I, the project is expected to be completed within two years. Initial plans include around 100 rooms of different categories and facilities comparable to a four-star hotel.
However, as the project will be developed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, the final design, room count, and facilities will be determined during the procurement process.
CDA Director General Infrastructure Haider Ali said the extension was granted at the request of prospective bidders who needed additional time to complete their designs and technical work.
He said the authority would evaluate the proposed designs and financial bids before awarding the contract under the relevant procurement rules.
