If you missed out on pre-ordering the new iPhone Duo last week, you might need to brace yourself for a long wait
Apple's first foray into the foldable smartphone market appears to have attracted strong demand, leaving latecomers facing lengthy delivery timelines.
Based on current observations of Apple's online store, orders placed this week are expected to arrive by 27 January 2027.
The three-month wait applies to all storage capacities of the iPhone Duo.
This marks the longest waiting time ever recorded for a new iPhone model on Apple's official Malaysian site
For context, the previous record holder was the iPhone 18 Pro series, which had delivery wait times of nearly four weeks when it launched.
Buyers ordering an iPhone 18 Pro Max this week can expect delivery between 4 and 12 November 2026.
High demand for the foldable device may explain recent production cuts
Industry speculation suggests Apple has scaled back production of the iPhone 18 Pro series to accommodate demand for its first foldable phone.
Die-hard Apple fans appear to be skipping the standard flagship lineup entirely to get their hands on the company's first foldable entrant.
