“The Challenge” and “The Real World” alum Anika Rashaun died earlier this month at age 34.
Rashaun passed away Oct. 1, over a year after she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.
Rashaun’s friend, Tiara Ramos, shared a tribute earlier this month where she said the late MTV star was “always so unapologetically herself.”
“Her ability to get what she wanted, to talk you into things, to convince you, was one of a kind,” Ramos wrote. “The way she showed up for her friends, fiercely loyal and loving to the end, was on a whole different level.”
Ramos also mentioned Rashaun’s accomplishments, including how she “appeared on reality TV not once but twice, went skydiving on a first date with a random guy and started creating her own businesses from the time she was a little girl.”
“Anika was beautiful, inside and out. She was kind. She loved without limits,” the tribute continued. “She loved life. She lived life. She experienced things others could only dream of.”
Near the end of her essay, Ramos admitted she’s “heartbroken” and “devastated” over Rashaun’s death.
Rashaun was honored by other friends on what would’ve been her 35th birthday on Thursday.
One pal said on Facebook that Rashaun “lived her years fully with a stacked calendar, juggling all her dreams, invites from friends, and always showing up.”
“It breaks my heart that Anika’s journey ended the way it did. She deserves so much more,” the friend added.
Another pal remembered the reality star for her “free spirit and joy for life,” and described Rashaun’s wedding to her husband, Kyle, in February as “a fairytale.”
“The love you and Kyle share is truly magical, and I know you will see each other again,” the friend wrote. “The young love being found and ripped from your hand’s has to be my hardest part to accept.”
Rashaun was 24 years old when she appeared on “Real World Seattle: Bad Blood” in 2016.
Her “Bad Blood” that season was her ex-boyfriend of three years, Will Groomes.
In 2017, Rashaun was cast on “The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions.” She was eliminated in the third episode.
After reality TV, Rashaun worked as a professional matchmaker, launching her own lifestyle, relationship, and entertainment brand, ASKANIKA.
Rashaun and her husband, Kyle, tied the knot in San Marcos, Calif., on Valentine’s Day.
“The day was literally a dream filled with the best moments,” Rashaun wrote on Instagram two weeks after the wedding, with photos from the nuptials.
She added, “Kyle and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect day!”
