A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that the North-West will deliver massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Kwankwaso made the declaration on Saturday during the formal flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna State, where party supporters gathered to demonstrate their backing for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He described the turnout at the event as a clear indication of the region’s support for the president, insisting that the North-West had made its political position known ahead of the next general election.
According to Kwankwaso, the Kaduna rally had dispelled doubts about the region’s stance in the emerging presidential contest.
“Today, we of the North-West geopolitical zone have spoken loud and clear on who we stand for. Our choice of Tinubu remains our commitment to a better Nigeria and national cohesion,” he said.
The APC campaign council member argued that the gathering was more than a political mobilisation, describing it as a message to other geopolitical zones about the importance of supporting Tinubu’s administration.
He maintained that the president’s government offered an opportunity to promote balanced development and ensure a fair distribution of national resources across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
“Tinubu’s presidency stands for fair and equitable distribution of resources to all zones, and his return will be a blessing to the greater Nigeria of our dream,” Kwankwaso said.
The APC chieftain also rejected the suggestion that northern support for Tinubu was based solely on political transactions.
He argued that the region should remain committed to its political position and unite behind the president as the 2027 election approaches.

Kwankwaso described Tinubu as the North’s preferred candidate and expressed confidence that the region would deliver on its pledge to support his re-election.
“Asiwaju is the northern candidate, and he will not promote anything outside his ambition because we are trustworthy people, and we shall deliver him come 2027,” he declared.
He further called on political stakeholders across the country to view support for the president through the lens of national unity and collective development rather than narrow political interests.
