Owning a piece of a Bitcoin mine usually means warehouses, power contracts and machines that sound like a jet engine. BitFuFu would like to offer the payout without the noise.
On October 13, 2026, BitFuFu Inc. (NASDAQ: FUFU), a Singaporean Bitcoin mining company, announced a strategic partnership with Finloop to introduce the Hashrate Token, or HASH. The product is a BTC-denominated on-chain note. Its returns are linked to the economic output of Bitcoin mining hashrate that BitFuFu manages.
How the HASH note works
BitFuFu offers hashrate as a service, and noteholders receive payouts drawn from newly mined Bitcoin. Its payouts come from mining rewards, not from someone else agreeing to pay you back. That removes one familiar risk while introducing another: mining output itself becomes the variable to watch.
The notes will be deployed on two blockchains, Ethereum and Solana. Every transaction tied to issuance, holdings and profit distributions will be recorded on-chain, giving holders a public ledger of what was issued and what was paid out.
Each note carries a twelve-month term. Returns are prorated based on how long an investor actually holds the note, so someone who sits in for part of the term earns a share matching that window.
Access is not open to everyone. HASH is limited to eligible investors who meet jurisdictional, KYC/AML and regulatory requirements. KYC and AML refer to know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering checks, the identity and compliance screening that regulated financial products typically require.
Finloop supplies the plumbing. Its FinRWA Platform provides the issuance infrastructure, along with token lifecycle and investor management tools. RWA stands for real-world assets, the broad category of off-chain value that firms are increasingly wrapping into blockchain tokens.
BitFuFu’s recent production numbers
In September 2026, the company mined a total of 167 BTC. Of that, 98 BTC came from self-mining and 69 BTC came from its cloud mining business. The company’s total Bitcoin holdings stood at 1,388 BTC at that point.
Hashrate under management reached 20.6 EH/s in August. It slipped slightly to 19.4 EH/s in September. EH/s stands for exahashes per second, a unit describing how many guesses per second the machines make while competing to add new blocks.
BitFuFu recorded a net loss of $20.5 million in the second quarter, triggered by unfavorable market conditions stemming from a declining Bitcoin price. Its subsequent recovery has been driven by growth in the hashrate it manages.
What HASH means for investors and miners
The Bitcoin denomination cuts both ways. Payouts arrive in BTC, so investors who measure wealth in dollars take on Bitcoin price risk on top of mining performance risk. If the price falls, the dollar value of those payouts falls with it, even if the machines are humming along perfectly.
The slide from 20.6 EH/s to 19.4 EH/s between August and September is a reminder that the inputs are not fixed. Prospective holders will want to understand how payouts are calculated when hashrate moves.
For BitFuFu, the product opens another channel to monetize its hashrate. The company already splits production between self-mining and cloud mining, and HASH effectively packages the cloud model into a token with an on-chain paper trail.
The choice of Ethereum and Solana also signals a bid for reach. Deploying on two major networks gives the note access to two large user and developer ecosystems, and the on-chain record of distributions offers a level of transparency that traditional mining investment contracts rarely provide.
