A Kenyan influencer's nostalgic return to her alma mater has sparked a wave of disbelief online, after she posted a tour of Kenya High School that left many questioning what kind of high school they attended.

The creator, who goes by @thetravellingdoctor1 on social media, visited the prestigious girls' school to collect her KCSE certificate and turned the errand into a full campus walkthrough that quickly went viral.

"I got a grade A of 84 points," she revealed in the video before admitting the school is genuinely impressive.

Walking along a well-maintained paved path, she guided viewers through the sprawling compound, pointing out everything from the chapel and dining hall at the entrance to the canteen that, in her words, "had everything — cookies, yoghurt. It was like a supermarket."

The tour only got more eye-opening from there. She showed the school's swimming pool, revealing that swimming lessons were not optional.

"We had mandatory swimming classes," she said, adding that the building visible behind the pool houses the gym.

The staffroom area was lined with lush plants, giving the grounds a calm, almost resort-like atmosphere.

She also walked viewers through tidy dormitories, a garden space, and a row of outdoor lockers that resembled those found in American high schools.

The school's various laboratories, including a music lab and an art lab, rounded out a campus that looked more like a small university than a secondary school.

The comments section became a confessional for Kenyans reflecting on their own very different school experiences.
