Bilour said the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, with the prime minister, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other officials discussing the province’s future needs. She added that the federal government would meet these requirements through its own resources. The announcement aims to support development across KP, particularly in areas receiving the larger share of funding.
The package also includes new educational facilities in several districts. According to Bilour, the prime minister announced plans to establish Danish schools in Bajaur, Lakki Marwat and Chitral. The government will also establish a technical institute in Dera Ismail Khan to support technical education and skills development.
Security improvements formed another key part of the discussions. Bilour said the government would strengthen police capacity to combat terrorism. She added that authorities would prioritise the requirements of the provincial police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). The meeting also reviewed security threats facing the country, with Field Marshal Asim Munir reportedly briefing participants in detail.

During the meeting, the prime minister referred to the families of Samar Haroon Bilour and Amir Muqam in connection with the fight against terrorism. Bilour said participants paid tribute to martyrs from both families. She described the meeting as her first federal apex committee session and said she was impressed by its proceedings. The development package combines infrastructure and education plans with security-related support for the province.
