The Nigeria National League (NNL) has warned clubs to comply with decisions of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee (PSAC) or risk being denied player registration ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
NNL Chief Operating Officer, Danlami Alanana, who handed down the warning said compliance with the committee’s decisions was mandatory for all affected clubs as registration processes continued for the new season.
“All cases of the Players’ Arbitration Committee whose decisions have been taken and communicated to clubs, must be complied with or the NNL will not register players of the affected clubs,” Alanana stated.
He added that clubs that had agreed to payments or settlements with affected players and coaches through the NFF must provide evidence of compliance to all parties and obtain the necessary clearance from the federation.
The league urged clubs to treat the directive with urgency to avoid setbacks and ensure the smooth completion of their registration procedures.
Meanwhile, the 2026/2027 NNL season is scheduled to begin on Oct. 31 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, with a Conference A opening fixture between hosts Heartland FC and Crown FC of Ogbomoso.
Heartland, popularly known as the Naze Millionaires, will welcome Crown FC, nicknamed the Ajilete Warriors, in a match expected to usher in the new campaign.
