Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 23 October 2026, met with Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, H.E. Seki Yoshihiro, in Tokyo, Japan. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen ASEAN–Japan cooperation in education and culture, including educational exchanges, research collaboration and cultural exchanges to deepen people-to-people ties and mutual understanding.
