(ANSA) - PARIGI, 14 OTT - “Is there a place of choice for contemporary art? Who is shaping the map of art today?”: centered on these questions raised by Consul General Albergoni in Paris, the event “Geographies of Contemporaneity” took place as part of the 22nd Day of Contemporary Art, sponsored by AMACI—the Association of Italian Museums of Contemporary Art. The event, organized in collaboration with the Association of Friends of Contemporary Art France-Italy (Contemporalis), has become a regular fixture at the Consulate General of Italy in Paris, one of the leading cities on the global art scene. This year, the event explored the theme of “Geographies of the Contemporary,” inviting reflection on contemporary society as a constantly shifting map, in which territories and communities are redefined, changing and taking shape through exchanges, encounters, and dialogues. Guiding the guests through this journey into contemporary art were Contemporalis President Roberta Malavasi; Lorenzo Benedetti, Director of the Ratti Foundation and current curator of Expositio Mundi; Pamela Bianchi, Professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris; Pamela Bianchi; and Riccardo Venturi, a professor of art theory and history at Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
