The nationwide campaign will award 20 motorcycles and Shs42 million in cash prizes, while promoting Ugandan music through MTN’s Caller Tunez service.
MTN Uganda has handed over the first motorcycle under the second season of its Digida N’akayimba Ko promotion, launching a series of customer rewards across the country.
The campaign will see 20 customers win motorcycles, alongside a total of Shs42 million in cash prizes during activations across Uganda.
Customers can participate by dialling 17012# and downloading their preferred Caller Tunez song for Shs700. They can also copy another customer’s Caller Tunez by pressing * or # while calling them.
Speaking at the handover on October 15, 2026, Susan Kayemba, MTN Uganda’s senior manager for digital services, said the promotion rewards customers while supporting local music through the company’s digital services.
“Digida N’akayimba Ko is about celebrating the music that connects us as Ugandans while rewarding our customers for engaging with the services they enjoy. Today’s handover is an important milestone as we award the first of 20 motorcycles. We look forward to celebrating many more winners as the campaign continues across the country,” Walakira said.
She added that the motorcycles could create economic opportunities for the winners by helping them earn an income, support their families or establish small businesses.
“A motorcycle can be much more than a prize. For a winner, it can become a source of income, support a family or help build a small business. We are pleased that through Digida N’akayimba Ko, an everyday digital service can translate into something that has a meaningful impact on our customers’ lives,” she said.
Beyond customer rewards, the promotion is intended to support Ugandan musicians by increasing the reach of their music through Caller Tunez. MTN says the service also creates opportunities for artists to earn royalties when their music is used.
“We want customers across the country to be part of Digida N’akayimba Ko. Simply dial 17012#, download your favourite Caller Tunez song for only UGX 700, and stand a chance to win. At the same time, every song downloaded helps us celebrate and support the Ugandan music that connects us,” Walakira added.
MTN Uganda has cautioned customers against fraudsters who may attempt to exploit the promotion. The company says winners are contacted through its official line, 0312120000, and are not required to pay any money or make Mobile Money transfers to claim prizes.
Customers have also been warned against sharing their Mobile Money personal identification numbers (PINs) or sending money to anyone claiming to facilitate a win.
The promotion brings together customer rewards and the promotion of local music, with MTN encouraging subscribers to participate through its Caller Tunez service.
