It was already within reach, and all that was left was to make it official: following the draw between Atlas and León, Chivas Femenil secured its place in the Apertura 2026 playoffs with three matchdays still remaining in the women’s top-flight league.
With 24 points from 11 matches, four consecutive wins without conceding a goal, and one of its best offensive campaigns in recent years, Guadalajara will compete in the playoffs for the 13th consecutive season, a streak that began in AP20.
El Rebaño Sagrado’s next goal goes beyond maintaining its current form heading into the final phase of the championship, as the team is also close to securing second place in Group B, which would guarantee the Rojiblancas the home advantage for the second leg of their Quarterfinal series at Estadio AKRON. If Chivas defeats Atlante and Atlético San Luis loses to América, Antonio Contreras’ team will clinch that spot outright.
