The Hornets will travel to Brooklyn to take on the Nets for both teams' regular season kickoff on Wednesday night.
After a preseason loss to the Nets on Oct. 6, Charlotte will be looking for an opposite result this week. The Hornets' recent struggles have been exacerbated by the loss of franchise star LaMelo Ball, and absence of guard Kon Knueppel, who is sidelined with a hamstring strain. This team shouldn't be counted out though — at full strength, they'll be strong.
The Nets might have a bit of an upper hand here, especially given the home-court advantage. Michael Porter Jr. & Co. routed the Hornets in their preseason opener, 124-90, setting Brooklyn up for a 3-1 start. Can the Nets defend Barclays Center?
