EcoFlow is targeting the cost of home battery storage in the US with its new Titan series, offering three models that start at 5 kWh and expand to 30 kWh, along with a pre-wired home panel to cut installation work.
The Titan range, which includes the Titan 5000 Classic, Titan 5000, and Titan 5000 Plus, joins EcoFlow’s existing Delta Pro Ultra and Ultra X systems. In launching, its new products, EcoFlow said it analyzed data from 100,000 households and found that 80% stayed below a rough power demand of 6.7 kW for some 99% of the time. In a standard day, that might be just 15 minutes of high-power draw. That informed the Titan’s design, with the company arguing that most homes do not need the output of its larger systems. That supports its output choice, although backup duration still depends on battery capacity and the loads being supplied.
Titan 5000 specifications and details
The standard Titan 5000 and flagship 5000 Plus match the original Ultra’s 7.2 kW output, but start with a smaller battery, at 5 kWh versus 6.144 kWh.
The Titan 5000 Plus supplies 7.2 kW at 120/240 V, rising to 10 kW when hooked in to a solar supply, with the additional power contributed through a boost function. EcoFlow says it can run a 3-ton central air conditioner alongside a refrigerator, TV and lights, without a soft starter.
On the input side, the Plus handles up to 8 kW of solar through two 4 kW MPPTs, compared with 5.6 kW for the original Delta Pro Ultra. The standard Titan 5000 takes up to 4 kW through one MPPT. The cheaper Titan 5000 Classic drops to 4 kW of output at 120 V, with 3.2 kW of solar input.
The Plus weighs 55 kg and measures 623 mm × 336 mm × 428 mm. Both it and the expansion batteries carry an IP20 rating, requiring dry indoor placement. Charging is specified from 0 C to 45 C, with discharge from -10 C to 45 C. Warranty coverage is five years.
EcoFlow said the new hardware uses a 200 V architecture, LFP cells and silicon carbide power electronics. EcoFlow noted the battery was powered by an “industry-first 40160 tabless 2C LFP cell.” A tabless cell design can effectively reduce heat generation by eliminating traditional narrow current tabs, lowering resistance.
For home integration, the new Smart Home Panel 10 manages up to 10 circuits and supports 50 A, with automatic transfer to battery power in under 20 milliseconds. The company’s home energy management system, OASIS 3.0, manages charging and discharging against household demand, tariffs and weather forecasts.
EcoFlow quotes around $1,200 in installation labor and about two hours on-site. Its seven-business-day installation service starts after permits and approvals are obtained, though this offer or similar was already available with the Ultra X.
FCC authorization for all three Titan 5000 systems are dated July 20, before the FCC’s July 28 restrictions on foreign-produced inverters.
EcoFlow Titan 5000 pricing and availability
For now, pricing is being given in bands in a slightly unusual but welcome move for launch. The Titan 5000 and 5000 Plus will be in the $3,000 range standalone, or the $7,000 range including the home panel and installation. The Classic will be in the $2,000 range standalone, or the $5,000 range installed.
EcoFlow announced availability from Oct. 13, with its product pages currently offer reservations including . Further pricing details are due Nov. 3.
