QNET has described cooperation with law-enforcement agencies and international bodies as central to its efforts to counter fraud and protect people targeted by schemes that misuse the company’s name.
Speaking at the VCON Malaysia 2026 Media Webinar organised for journalists in Ghana on Tuesday 20th October, 2026, QNET’s Regional General Manager for West and Central Africa, Cherif Sarr, said the company was building “strategic, operational partnerships to dismantle criminal networks.” He identified QNET’s Memorandum of Understanding with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) as a cornerstone of that work.
According to Sarr, the EOCO partnership has helped rescue more than 300 victims of employment scams and supported the safe repatriation of deceived foreign nationals. The company also said it shares intelligence with security agencies and has held security workshops with INTERPOL to explore ways to combat scams that misuse or misrepresent QNET’s name and products.
He also said the company had formally endorsed the UNODC–INTERPOL Global Public-Private Partnership Framework Against Fraud. The briefing also described QNET as an active partner in workshops aimed at strengthening regional coordination.
The company said its collaboration with authorities includes reporting cases, sharing intelligence and supporting joint operations. It also reported submitting 158 cases directly to authorities and helping victims return to their countries or families.
Sarr said the company’s response goes beyond public statements. “We have moved far beyond just saying things we like to do; we are actually doing the things we promised to do,” he said, describing the partnerships as part of a broader effort to distinguish QNET’s legitimate business from criminal actors exploiting its name.
Social media influencers Zion Felix and Nkokonsa said their trips to QNET’s head office in Malaysia gave them the opportunity to question company representatives, including the CEO, directly. “We asked all the difficult questions and got quality and satisfactory answers. We learned that QNET manufactures and sells world-class quality products. This is different from the earlier perception we had about the company, ” they said. They encouraged journalists and influencers to verify claims and seek reliable information from QNET before publishing.
QNET said it would continue collaborating with authorities and the media, while urging accurate identification of the individuals and entities responsible for illegal activity.
Since 2022, QNET has invited journalists and social media influencers from across Africa to visit its Malaysia headquarters and attend VCON, the company’s signature global conference. These visits give participants an opportunity to learn more about QNET and share their insights with colleagues and the public. They are part of the company’s efforts to raise awareness of its business model, achievements and challenges.
