Colombo, Oct. 15 (Daily Mirror) - Three Thai nationals were arrested by officers of the Katunayake Airport Police Narcotics Bureau this morning while attempting to leave the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with hashish valued at Rs. 51 million.
The suspects, all drivers aged 22, 22 and 33, had arrived at the airport early this morning from Bangkok, Thailand.
A search of their luggage uncovered 5 kilograms and 96 grams of hashish concealed inside cosmetic cream containers in three travel bags.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court.
