FOP received its full registration certificate on Monday, becoming Kenya's 102nd registered political party at a time when political formations are actively positioning themselves ahead of the next general election.
Oloo declares presidential ambitions
Speaking after the certificate was presented, Oloo told TUKO.co.ke he intended to contest for the country's top seat, though he said the final decision would rest with party members.

"I am offering myself to contest for the top seat. If party members endorse it, I will be in the race," Oloo said.
He emphasised that FOP would not rush into coalition arrangements, saying the party needed to first consolidate its membership, build internal structures and establish a clear political identity before engaging with potential partners.
Any alliance, he said, would be based on shared principles rather than electoral convenience.
Oloo was also clear that securing power was not the party's primary motivation. He described FOP's core mission as one of transforming the lives of ordinary Kenyans, rather than positioning the party to capture government at any cost.
"We do not want to form the next government at all costs. Our ultimate objective is to transform lives," he said.
FOP open to playing opposition role
Oloo went further, saying the party would accept an opposition role if that was the verdict of voters, framing government accountability as a responsibility worth embracing.
"If Kenyans give us the opportunity to be in Opposition, we will thank them for giving us the role to check the government in place. It will be an honour," he said, adding that forming the next government would equally be welcome if voters chose to entrust FOP with that mandate.
Registrar of Political Parties John Cox Lorionokou, who presided over the certificate presentation, urged Oloo to remain true to the ideology and principles the party had declared during registration.
"I want to believe that you have a reason for wanting to be there," Lorionokou said.
The Registrar also challenged FOP to open up genuine space for young Kenyans within its ranks, noting that youth had repeatedly raised concerns about being marginalised inside existing political parties.
"You stated your ideology, what you stand for. We want you to follow that and be part of the shapers of democracy in Kenya," Lorionokou said.
Oloo's entry into the presidential conversation adds to the growing list of political actors declaring their intentions ahead of the 2027 polls, as discussions around opposition unity and the search for a joint presidential candidate continue to dominate Kenya's political landscape.
