Sajek Valley, a popular tourist destination in Rangamati's Baghaichhari upazila, has been temporarily closed to tourists from 6pm today (11 October) until further notice for unavoidable reasons.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Nazma Ashrafi announced the closure in a public notice issued today.
The notice also asked tourists currently staying in Sajek to leave the area by 5pm on 13 October and return safely to their respective destinations.
The administration did not specify the reasons for the closure in the notice.
