BeamNG.drive Is an Astonishing Driving Sim in Search of a Game

Over those 11 years, BeamNG.drive has slowly but steadily built up a sizable audience, to the extent that it's currently the second-biggest driving game on Steam, ahead of Forza Horizon 6 and behind the mighty Euro Truck Simulator 2. I suspect it's going to do pretty well on PS5, too. If you're into car games — and a lot of PlayStation gamers are — you don't have to spend very long on car-game YouTube before BeamNG.drive is invoked, often in pretty breathless terms. The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 just got pushed back to January. And PS5 might be the cheapest way to run this demanding, computationally expensive game at decent fidelity.
