Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie has slammed the nastiness of Pauline Hanson after a One Nation cartoon mocked the military veteran's health condition.
Senator Lambie gave an impassioned speech in the Senate in August in which she called for a pending cap on returned-service healthcare.
In it, she revealed she had a vaginal and bladder prolapse which required intensive surgery and five months of leave from parliament. The injury was directly connected to her army service.
The cartoon is the latest in One Nation's Please Explain series, which has taken aim at senior politicians, including Liberal Andrew Hastie.
In the video, Senator Lambie, who is under pressure from One Nation in Tasmania, is shown coughing, with it being implied that a prolapse is occurring.
"If you think it's a laughable matter about women having problems with their reproductive system, then you be my guest, and you stand by her," Senator Lambie told ABC radio on Monday.
"Decent leaders don't stir up hatred, pushing us towards bloody anarchy. That's exactly what (Senator Hanson) is doing."
The video was also slammed by independent MP Monique Ryan, a medical doctor.
"Jacqui Lambie has shown courage and honesty in speaking of her experience of vaginal prolapse," she posted to X, noting the condition affects about one in 12 women at some point in their lives. "It's uncomfortable, and it's debilitating," Dr Ryan said.
Science minister Tim Ayres also came to Senator Lambie's aid, telling Nine's Today show that tens of thousands of women battle with the condition and it should not be mocked.
