According to the singer’s 2027 tour schedule, the concert in Leça da Palmeira—located in the municipality of Matosinhos, in the Porto district—will be one of his final European shows. It will be followed only by dates in Kraków (Poland), Locarno (Switzerland), and Hannover (Germany) before he heads to the United States for two performances.
The 2027 Marés festival will take place from 16 July to 18, celebrating the event’s 20th anniversary; the festival relocated from Vila Nova de Gaia to Matosinhos this year.
Stewart, 81, was one of the headliners at this year’s Rock in Rio Lisboa festival.
Before that, in May 2025, the singer performed a sold-out concert at Lisbon’s MEO Arena.
In August of this year, he underwent heart surgery, which forced him to cancel several concerts in Las Vegas, USA.
Born in London in 1945, Rod Stewart has built a decades-long career marked by musical phases ranging from rock and folk-rock to pop and interpretations of American classics.
In 1971, “Maggie May” became the singer’s first chart-topping single, followed by hits such as “Sailing,” “Tonight I’m Yours,” “Baby Jane,” and “Some Guys Have All the Luck.”
In 1978, he scored another international hit with “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” one of his best-known songs.
