FieldAssist, the AI-native route-to-market platform serving leading consumer goods enterprises across 32 countries, has announced the appointment of Ashley DSouza as Chief AI Acceleration Officer. In this newly created role within the Product division, led by Nikhil Aggarwal, Co-founder and CPO at FieldAssist, DSouza will spearhead the product strategy and international rollout of FieldAssist’s global AI-native platform.
The executive appointment reflects FieldAssist’s rapid evolution toward building an AI-native Operating System for the CPG industry. While consumer goods enterprises have long invested in standalone digital point solutions, converting internal enterprise records and external trade signals into actionable insights has remained a hurdle. Although frontier AI models showcase remarkable reasoning power, they lack specialized domain fluency in FMCG operations. FieldAssist bridges this divide with proprietary Context Graphs, pairing deep commercial context with cutting-edge AI to drive tangible enterprise performance.
In the fast-moving consumer goods sector, flawless execution is paramount. Brands continuously manage field forces, extensive distributor networks, and diverse retail landscapes spanning varied levels of digital readiness. Decisions regarding trade promotions, product placement, and pricing often rely on outdated or fragmented data. FieldAssist is built on the conviction that AI must move beyond passive descriptive analytics to active, real-time decision-making across the entire distribution network.
FieldAssist is designing its next-generation product portfolio AI-native from inception rather than retrofitting artificial intelligence onto obsolete legacy systems. By uniting frontier model capabilities with deep domain data on FMCG distribution and sales growth, FieldAssist delivers intelligent workflows right where commercial value is created: in the field, with distributors, and at the point of sale. DSouza brings the invaluable perspective of an enterprise leader who has experienced these challenges firsthand.
“The next generation of products for consumer goods will not be built by adding AI to existing workflows. They will be built AI-first, around how brands, distributors and retailers actually operate. Ashley’s career spans sales and digital leadership at some of the world’s leading consumer brands, and he has led AI transformation from within those businesses. That perspective is invaluable as we build our next global product.”
— Nikhil Aggarwal, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, FieldAssist
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A), DSouza brings more than 20 years of commercial, marketing, and digital leadership across top-tier consumer enterprises. He started his career at Hindustan Unilever, leading shopper insights, customer marketing, and trade planning across marquee brands. At Colgate-Palmolive, he headed commercial operations in Eastern India and led international markets including Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. At Swiggy, as Vice President of Business, he spearheaded marketplace revenues and driven town-by-town expansion. Later at Amazon, DSouza led marketing for Amazon Business India and headed sales and marketing for Amazon Distribution, supplying kiranas, pharmacies, modern trade stores, and bakeries. In his most recent assignment as Chief Digital Officer at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), he oversaw eB2B strategy and enterprise digital transformation, scaling Generative AI and Voice AI solutions tied to clear ROI while testing agentic AI workflows with robust governance.
DSouza represents a rare caliber of executive who has excelled on both sides of the enterprise software ecosystem: as the corporate executive reliant on route-to-market software, and as the strategist reimagining its capabilities.
Within the Product division, his mandate will focus on three core objectives:
Shaping FieldAssist’s Global AI Product: Championing the product development lifecycle for international expansion.
Advancing Agentic AI Workflows: Embedding autonomous, self-directing AI agents with enterprise-grade guardrails and safety controls.
Delivering Measurable Business Value: Ensuring every product release drives verified commercial gains for brands and channel partners.
For FieldAssist’s global client base, DSouza’s appointment ensures an enterprise buyer’s mindset is embedded into every product sprint—transitioning enterprise AI from an era of experimentation to an era of measurable scale.
“AI can create real value in consumer goods only when it is anchored to business outcomes and built with the right guardrails. FieldAssist has the platform, the depth of data and the trust of leading brands to build what comes next. I look forward to working with the Product team to bring truly AI-native platforms to consumer goods companies worldwide.”
— Ashley DSouza, Chief AI Acceleration Officer, FieldAssist
