Sint Truiden have won three games on the bounce after a huge 1-0 victory away to FC Midtjylland in the Europa Conference League. The Canaries are enjoying a debut European season, having picked up a 2-0 win in their opening game against Iberia 1999. FC Midtjylland are a much more experienced European team and would have expected a victory over the more inexperienced Sint Truiden. Yet summer signing Frederic Soelle Soelle scored the only goal of the game just before half-time.
Sint Truiden then held on to record a big victory away from home and one that sets them up nicely to qualify for the next round of the competition. Next up for the Belgian side is a home game against Norwegian side Brann before travelling to Croatia at the end of November to face Hajduk Split. This game will be behind closed doors, which will benefit Sint Truiden more given the intimidating atmosphere that would have been against them in Split. Ajax and Lugano will then be their final two games of the competition. With six points in the bag already, the Canaries are really well placed if they can continue to play well in the competition.
