The Cleveland Browns are preparing for a pivotal AFC North showdown.
But several injury decisions are shaping their plans for Sunday. Both teams have important players unavailable, but the latest updates bring a mix of setbacks and encouraging news before kickoff.
...
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:
"Quinshon Judkins will be out. Carson Schwesinger is good to go," Rapoport reported on X.
Judkins' absence is a significant setback for Cleveland's offense. The rookie has been dealing with an ankle injury and practiced only once during the week. His absence puts additional pressure on the Browns' remaining running backs to carry the workload against Baltimore.
Schwesinger's availability provides a boost to the defense. The linebacker has also been dealing with an ankle injury. Having him available should help Cleveland against a Baltimore offense built around physical running and play-action opportunities.
The Browns will also be without defensive tackle Mason Graham and Mike Hall Jr., leaving their defensive front short-handed.
That could create opportunities for Derrick Henry to establish the run and control the tempo.
Baltimore has its own significant absences. Quarterback Lamar Jackson remains sidelined with an ankle injury, meaning Tyler Huntley is expected to start again.
Center Cam Jurgens is also out with a concussion, while tight end Matthew Hibner and guard Andrew Vorhees are among the other inactives.
The Ravens enter at 4-1, while Cleveland is 3-2. Both teams have plenty at stake in this divisional contest.
