CD Projekt RED officially released Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday. The developer formally ended development on the game back in 2024. However, the studio continues to strongly support the massive hit. Interestingly, the team skipped Update 2.4 entirely. Instead, they moved straight to a much larger content drop to keep players exploring “Night City” a little longer.

Edgerunners 2 Crossover & New Quests
To celebrate the launch of Netflix’s ‘Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2’, CD Projekt RED packed this update with exciting crossover content. First, players can experience a brand-new side quest called Clampdown. This mission takes place right before the anime’s events. Furthermore, gamers can unlock a new five-piece gear set based on the character King. The update also introduces a new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, which blasts tracks from the entire Edgerunners series.
Additionally, players will discover a fascinating new side quest narrating a guided tour of the city by founder Richard Night. Finally, completionists can hunt down 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot Cards. Finding all of them will unlock a special, highly teased reward.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Evolves the Gameplay
Update 2.5 completely evolves gameplay with the brand-new “Double Trouble” perk. Specifically, this Cool skill tree addition finally allows players to dual-wield Power Pistols and Revolvers. Moreover, players can now fully customize their hand cyberware. Gamers simply need to visit one of five new “Glamdocs” spread across the map. These unique shops offer vibrant skins and colors for your Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, and Projectile Launch System.
Alongside the weapon upgrades, the patch brings excellent fashion updates. Players can now purchase five new clothing collections from various city vendors. Furthermore, the update introduces fresh Twitch Drop car skins and adds previously restricted NPC hairstyles to V’s customization options.
Cross-Platform Mods & Major Tech Upgrades
Console players can finally rejoice. Update 2.5 officially introduces Cross-Platform Mod Support powered by mod.io. Consequently, users on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 can easily install player-created mods directly from the in-game menu.
Technologically, the patch pushes significant boundaries. It adds full support for DLSS 4.5, MetalFX Frame Interpolation, and glasses-free 3D effects for compatible Samsung Odyssey 3D monitors. Meanwhile, console players finally receive a highly requested FOV slider. Additionally, the developers introduced major quality-of-life improvements. Game saves now group neatly by playthrough, and apartment stashes feature handy item filters.

Here are a few important bug fixes included in the patch:
- Fixed a Nintendo Switch 2 error where saving caused an “insufficient space” prompt.
- Fixed an issue causing PlayStation 5 HDR settings to remain completely unresponsive.
- Resolved a progression-blocking bug involving the Delamain cab in the “Things Done Changed” quest.
