The competition was heating up in the Bake Off tent this week – and we're not talking about the self-saucing desserts and bread and butter puddings. It was battle of the blazers between Nigella Lawson and Alison Hammond.
They wore two very different renditions of the classic silhouette, and we're struggling to choose our favourite. Nigella's slightly cropped, chocolate brown blazer would blend seamlessly into your autumn wardrobe ('tis the shade of the season after all), while Alison's all-over floral print, double-breasted satin jacket is fabulously eye-catching and a great party piece all-year round.
We wouldn't blame you for wanting both – every wardrobe needs a great blazer as they immediately add style and smarts to any look. Go full-business with matching trousers, or find the perfect balance between smart-casual with jeans, as Alison did. She kept it daytime with what looks like suede flats, much needed while she was zipping around the tent as trolley dolly.

Internet fashion sleuths are too quick, as Alison's Wallis floral blazer has already been sourced and snapped up. There is an alternative colourway available, though. This chocolate-floral number is practically a hybrid between both Alison and Nigella's looks, if you really can't decide between.
We've also found a similar one from White Stuff. It's not satin or floral (bear with us) but this linen, double-breasted design isn't far off. Worth mentioning it's currently £35 off too.
Nigella confirmed on Instagram that her top is from Mango and the blazer's ME+EM, although she did warn, “Unsure they'll still be in stock.” Unsurprisingly, the queen of cuisine is right. There is a similar tailored jacket on-site, but in a lighter pecan brown colourway. Yum.
Though the exact jackets are both currently unavailable, there are still ple. We've sourced the best floral blazers and the best brown blazers to shop on the high-street now. They're 'same, same, and come in a range of patterns, cuts and fits.
