Naomi Ackie has been on a tear of Goth-inspired style over the course of her “Clayface” promotional tour. The actress, known for “Blink Twice” and “Mickey 17,” has worked in tandem with stylist Nicky Yates to create a sartorial experience that’s dark and feminine in equal measure.
Taking cues from the dark glamour trend, Ackie elevated the Victorian-inspired style with modernity, pulling from recent collections by Gucci and Issey Miyake, among others. WWD breaks down those looks and more ahead.
Dilara Fındıkoğlu
Ackie’s latest Goth look came courtesy of Dilara Fındıkoğlu’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The actress wore a black knee-length dress with serpent-style fabric, featuring a bustier bodice with sharp, statement shoulders and lace-up detailing running down the sleeves and skirt for the London premiere of “Clayface” on Tuesday.
Along with the dress, Ackie wore pointed-toe slingback pumps by Paris Texas and accessorized with pear-shaped diamond and blackened white gold point-down gypset hoop earrings from Jessica McCormack.
Issey Miyake
Monday’s London screening of “Clayface” featured Ackie in a design from Issey Miyake’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Embracing some incognito cues with proportional distortion, the minidress was crafted with voluminous sleeves with a semi-sheer fabric.
A hooded element elevated the dress with further drama, and Ackie accentuated the red carpet look with a pair of black sunglasses and a set of pointed-toe slingback pumps.
Colleen Allen
Earlier on Monday, Ackie attended a photo call for the DC Studios film in London in a design from Colleen Allen’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection. The monochrome black set featured a long-sleeve knit top with a long, flowing maxiskirt designed with sheer fabric and featuring delicate embroidered elements.
Gucci
Ackie kicked off her “Clayface” red carpet tour in Los Angeles for the film’s premiere on Oct. 13. The actress wore a design from Gucci’s pre-fall 2026 collection — a black dress that embraced asymmetry with a one-sleeve design contrasted by an angular skirt with a thigh-high element to one side and contrasting train on the other.
The actress even added a pair of Boulevard Horsebit boots by Gucci, featuring hardware on the pointed toe.
Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, “Clayface” follows burgeoning actor Matt Hagen, played by Tom Rhys Harries, who descends into madness as he morphs into a revenge-filled monster. The film hits theaters Friday.
