Grêmio and Cruzeiro have CONFIRMED THEIR LINEUPS for this Sunday’s (18th) clash at 4 p.m. at the Arena do Grêmio, on Matchday 31 of the Brasileirão.
Globo (in Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais), Premiere and GETV will broadcast the match. You can follow the key updates in real time in the card below.
Grêmio are 18th with 31 points and are trying to escape the relegation zone. A win this Sunday (18th) will see the club end the day outside the drop zone.
Cruzeiro, meanwhile, are seventh with 48 points. To break into the top five (or even the top four), the Foxes need to win and hope Fluminense and Bahia slip up.
Grêmio lineup 📋
Jovane Cabral, Nardoni and João Borne are injured, while Wallace is suspended. Gustavo Martins replaces Wallace in central defence.
The rest of the team is unchanged from the 1-1 draw in the Gre-Nal derby.
Despite reports of a possible formation change to three centre-backs, Renato Gaúcho is sticking with a 4-3-3.
Weverton; Diego Caito, Gustavo Martins, Kannemann and Marlon; Danilo Barbosa, Villasanti and Krovinovic; Pavon, Amuzu and Carlos Vinícius.
Cruzeiro lineup 📋
Gabriel Pec and Sinisterra remain sidelined through injury. Felipe Morais is the latest absentee through suspension.
On the other hand, Fagner and Lucas Romero are available to Arthur Jorge again.
With that in mind, the coach makes TWO changes from the 4-2 defeat to RB Bragantino last time out.
Villalba replaces Rojas, and Lucas Romero comes in for Felipe Morais. With these changes, the Cruzeiro coach strengthens the midfield in a 4-4-2 formation.
Otávio; William, João Marcelo, Jonathan Jesus and Villabla; Lucas Romero, Gerson, Zé Lucas and Matheus Pereira; Arroyo and Kaio Jorge.
