Gospel music fans were not ready for the drama that unfolded on 15 October 2026, when Ayanda Ntanzi appeared to take a swipe at fellow gospel artist Dumi Mkokstad during a TikTok LIVE session. The clip quickly spread across social media, leaving thousands of viewers stunned and wondering what is going on between the two musicians.
The moment came at a time when Dumi Mkokstad's alleged private messages had just been leaked publicly. What made Ntanzi's dig land even harder was the apparent use of a story in the bible to land his mockery. Viewers watching the livestream were visibly confused in real time, with one commenter writing "I'm lost" and another simply reacting with laughing emojis, suggesting the shade was subtle enough to leave some in the dark.
Ntanzi, a well-known South African gospel singer with a devoted following, is not typically associated with public beef or controversy, which made the moment all the more surprising.

MaSoya93 was taken aback:
"Bathong, Ayanda? That time, he has a wife, this doesn't suit him at all. He should be careful."
MandaMpemvukazi kept it simple:
"I thought they were friends."
ZakheleNS had mixed feelings:
"His downfall is doing push-ups while drinking Slow Mag fizzles! He should focus on his amazing talent and leave other people's business."
LadyCharlotte01 raised a more serious concern:
"He's mocking Dumi using Jesus as an example. This is blasphemy."
Whether Ntanzi intended the remarks as a direct jab at Dumi Mkokstad or simply made an offhand comment that was read in a particular context, social media has already made up its mind that something is brewing between the two gospel acts.
