The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports in Pakistan has announced a revised fee schedule for electronic passports (e-passports), with charges varying according to passport validity, number of pages and processing category.
Under the announced schedule, applicants can choose between five-year and 10-year passports, with normal and urgent processing options available for 36-page and 72-page documents.
Fees for e-passports valid for 5 years
For a five-year e-passport, the normal processing fee for a 36-page document is Rs.9,000, while a 72-page passport costs Rs.16,500.
Under the urgent processing category, applicants have to pay Rs.15,000 for a 36-page e-passport and Rs. 27,000 for a 72-page document.
Fees for 10-year e-passports
The normal fee for a 10-year e-passport with 36 pages has been set at Rs.13,500, while the 72-page version costs Rs. 24,750.
For urgent processing, the fee is Rs.22,500 for a 36-page passport and Rs. 40,500 for a 72-page passport.
The revised schedule allows applicants to select the passport validity period, page count and processing category according to their requirements.
