Oct. 22—Aspiring girls basketball players and their families, along with basketball fans of any demographic, have a chance to take in some high quality women's basketball close to home this weekend.
The inaugural Northwest Crossover Classic, a two-day women's NAIA college basketball showcase, will be held Saturday and Sunday at St. George's School with six games each day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Classic will showcase 12 programs and 12 games with teams representing the Cascade Collegiate and Frontier conferences, including Eastern Oregon, Lewis-Clark State, Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon, Evergreen State, Walla Walla, Dakota State, Rocky Mountain, Carroll College, Montana State-Northern, Providence, and Montana Western.
The field has real national credentials: Dakota State reached the 2026 NAIA national semifinals, Lewis-Clark State made the Round of 16, and seven participating programs played in the 2026 national tournament.
The field also features NAIA All-Americans, conference Players of the Year, a Defensive Player of the Year, regional MVPs, an NWAC Tournament MVP, an NWAC scoring champion, championship-winning transfers and nationally experienced coaches.
The weekend raises funds for Reardan girls basketball and the St. George's booster club. Proceeds will support youth development, travel, equipment, and opportunities for players in those programs.
