INDIANAPOLIS — Colts backup quarterback Anthony Richardson was charged for allegedly having possession of marijuana, on Monday, Oct. 19, in Carmel, according to online court records.
Richardson was initially stopped and charged on Oct. 12.
Richardson, the team’s backup quarterback, has not played this season, but he has served as the No. 2 quarterback behind Daniel Jones in every game this year. Second-year quarterback Riley Leonard is the team’s third quarterback.
"We are aware of the situation involving Anthony Richardson and are currently gathering additional information,” the Colts said in a statement. “We will have no further comment at this time."
