The Byzantine Museum of Veria has received the Travelers’ Choice Award for 2026 from travel platform Tripadvisor, earning recognition for the positive reviews submitted by visitors.
The annual awards honor attractions, activities and other listings that consistently receive favorable reviews over the preceding 12 months. Recipients rank among the top 10% of eligible listings on the platform.
For the museum, the distinction is a welcome acknowledgment of the visitor experience and an opportunity to highlight the work carried out to maintain its collections and make them accessible to a wider audience.
Alongside its permanent exhibition, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions, educational programs and cultural events, seeking to serve not only as a place to discover Byzantine and post-Byzantine art, but also as a meeting point for cultural exchange and creative participation.
