The Guardia Civil have arrested a second Briton in connection with the stabbing of a 21-year-old Czech tourist outside a club in Magaluf in the early hours of September 19.
The 36-year-old Briton was detained on Wednesday. Like the 43-year-old Briton who was arrested in September, and who is currently in prison, he faces charges of attempted murder and causing serious bodily harm.
The incident occurred around 5.15am on Avda. Pere Vaquer Ramis. The Czech man sustained a deep stab wound to his chest. He was admitted to Son Espases Hospital in a serious condition.
All three men had been ejected from the club. They had got into an argument which then carried on outside. The two Britons fled the scene. The 43-year-old was arrested later that day, while his accomplice remained at large.
