The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) is conducting its monthly clean-up exercise in Waterloo as part of its commitment to community engagement, environmental cleanliness and local needs policing.
The exercise, taking place on Saturday, 24 October 2026, forms part of the SLP’s efforts to promote public health, improve sanitation and encourage residents to maintain clean and healthy surroundings.
The initiative also reflects the police force’s commitment to transitioning from a force-oriented approach to a service-driven institution that prioritises the needs and welfare of the communities it serves.
Through the exercise, the SLP seeks to strengthen police-community relations and promote collaboration between law enforcement personnel and residents in addressing local concerns.
The initiative underscores the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment and creating safer, healthier communities.
By taking the monthly cleaning exercise to Waterloo, the SLP continues to demonstrate its commitment to local needs policing and community-focused service delivery.
