ST JAMES, Jamaica — Minister with Responsibility for Works, Robert Morgan, on Wednesday toured several flood-affected communities in St James, alongside teams from the National Works Agency (NWA), to assess the extent of damage caused by heavy rainfall on Monday.
The assessment included sections of the Barnett to Adelphi Corridor, where floodwaters scoured portions of the roadway, leaving sections exposed.
The minister and technical teams also inspected gullies in the vicinity of Murray Hill and the Mustard Seed Community Children’s facility, where significant blockages were observed following the rains.
Other affected areas in Tucker were assessed, along with the flooding situation at the Estuary Housing Scheme.
