In an Oct. 21 media release, the Truro Police Service said it will continue to monitor Rozins’ release and compliance with all court-ordered conditions.
Rozins, 43, is a convicted sex offender who has committed offences in several provinces.
He is living in the community under supervision and under the condition of several restrictions.
According to the police release, Rozins is prohibited from being in the presence of people under the age of 16.
He must not attend any location where people under the age of 16 are present or can reasonably be expected to be present. This includes public parks, public swimming areas, daycare centres, school grounds, playgrounds, and community centres.
He must not seek, obtain, or continue employment, paid or volunteer, that would place him in a position of trust or authority over people under the age of 16.
He must not have any contact or communication, by any means, with people under the age of 16 unless it occurs under the supervision of a person approved by the court.
Rozins is also prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
“The Truro Police Service reminds the public that this information is released in the interest of community safety,” stated the news release.
“Any form of vigilante action, intimidation, or harassment directed toward Mr. Rozins will not be tolerated and may result in criminal charges,” the release further said.
The Truro Police Service requests that anyone with information about a breach of Rozins’ release conditions contact them immediately.
