Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, New Zealand, Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are among the countries highlighted for opportunities in elderly care, disability support and home-based assistance.
Demand is influenced by factors such as ageing populations and shortages of care staff. However, the number of available jobs, required qualifications, salaries and immigration pathways differ considerably between destinations.

These are calculation assumptions, not verified live exchange rates. The source material does not provide comparable salary ranges for Ireland, New Zealand and Japan.

These figures should be independently verified because vacancy totals depend on the definition of caregiving work, the date of the estimate and the source used.

Each destination has its own immigration system. A visa that permits care work does not necessarily provide an automatic route to permanent residency.
New Zealand lists care jobs eligible for permanent residency
TUKO.co.ke reported that New Zealand identified nine care-sector occupations that may qualify workers for permanent residency.
Applicants must work full-time in an eligible role for at least 24 months within the 30 months before applying.
Eligible jobs include aged or disabled carer, personal care assistant and nursing support worker.
