Xreal has launched the Xreal 1 Pro+, its latest pair of AR glasses, with major display improvements while keeping the same $599 starting price as its predecessor.
The biggest upgrade is brightness. The new model reaches 1,200 nits of peak brightness, up from 700 nits on the Xreal 1 Pro.
Brighter Display and Faster 3D Conversion
The Xreal 1 Pro+ also improves its 2D-to-3D conversion system.
It now supports 60fps conversion, up from 30fps on the previous model, which should make spatial content appear smoother.
The glasses continue to use 0.55-inch Sony Micro-OLED panels with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Xreal has also added a new AI HDR feature to improve visual quality.
57-Degree Field of View
The Xreal 1 Pro+ retains a 57-degree field of view and supports virtual displays ranging from 34 inches to 556 inches.
It also includes native 3DoF, or three degrees of freedom, support for spatial viewing.
X1 Spatial Computing Chip
The glasses are powered by Xreal’s X1 spatial computing chip, which offers 3ms motion-to-photon latency.
Xreal has also redesigned the nose pad with a broader contact area. The company says the updated design provides better stability and comfort during longer sessions.
Like the previous model, the Xreal 1 Pro+ connects through USB-C and works with devices that support DisplayPort Alt Mode.
Price and Availability
The Xreal 1 Pro+ starts at $599.
The glasses are available starting today through Xreal’s official online store and participating retailers.
