KUALA LUMPUR: Kelington Group Bhd has secured an additional RM128 million contract for a manufacturing facility in Kuching, Sarawak.
This brings the total contract value for the project to RM544 million.
The latest contract, awarded to its wholly-owned unit Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd on Oct 12, involves the design and construction of ultra-high-purity deionised water generation and wastewater treatment plant systems for an advanced data storage manufacturing facility.
The project is expected to commence immediately and be completed by April 2028, Kelington said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.
"Following the new award, the aggregate value of contracts and purchase orders secured by Kelington Technologies from the customer for the project will increase from about RM416 million to about RM544 million," it said.
Kelington said the latest contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, and subsequent financial years until its completion.
The group added that Kelington Technologies expects to secure further contracts from the customer covering various scopes of work for the project.
