Harry Kane continues to make his case as one of the best players in world football, and his latest performance against Arsenal has earned him high praise from his Bayern Munich teammate, Dayot Upamecano.
Kane recorded a goal and an assist in Bayern’s 2-2 draw against the Gunners, once again demonstrating his importance to Vincent Kompany’s side. Whether finishing chances himself or creating opportunities for his teammates, the England captain remains central to Bayern’s attacking threat.
Upamecano was particularly emphatic when discussing Kane’s quality, expressing his hope that the striker will eventually receive football’s most prestigious individual award.
“Harry is Harry. Outstanding. I hope he wins the Ballon d’Or,” Upamecano told Sky Germany’s Kerry Hau (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It is a simple statement, but one that reflects the admiration Kane has earned within the Bayern dressing room. His goalscoring numbers, creativity, and ability to influence major matches make him a compelling candidate for individual recognition.
Ultimately, winning the Ballon d’Or will depend on sustained performances and team success throughout the season. However, if Kane continues delivering against Europe’s biggest clubs, he will give himself every opportunity to enter that conversation.
