Quality engineering company QualiZeal has appointed Sunil Upadrasta as Vice President and India Head, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), to lead its GCC business, including new client acquisition, market expansion and engagement with senior enterprise leaders.
Upadrasta brings more than 23 years of experience across sales, business development, client engagement, delivery, digital transformation and profit-and-loss management. He has held leadership roles at Atos Syntel, Tata Consultancy Services and Reliance Retail, with experience across retail, financial services, healthcare, transportation and technology.
The appointment comes as GCCs expand beyond execution-led operations to take on greater responsibility for product development, platforms, quality engineering, automation and artificial intelligence. QualiZeal said the dedicated leadership role would strengthen its engagement with GCCs as they expand these capabilities.
“GCCs have been a core focus for QualiZeal, and our conversations with enterprise leaders have only strengthened our conviction. GCCs are evolving into strategic hubs that own quality, platforms, and AI, and that shift calls for a leader who understands it from the inside,” said Kalyan Konda, Co-Founder, Executive Director and CEO of QualiZeal.
Upadrasta said his focus would be on working with enterprise leaders to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
“GCCs are at an inflection point. The most ambitious ones want ownership of products, platforms, quality and AI, not just execution,” he said. “My focus will be to work closely with CXOs and enterprise leaders to translate their strategic priorities into practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.”
QualiZeal said it has grown to a workforce of more than 1,100 AI-skilled professionals in less than five years. The company is also developing its Continuous AI Assurance offering, supported by its QMentisAI, ValidAIte and NexaAI platforms, for quality engineering and AI assurance.
