Packers running back Josh Jacobs is set to make his first appearance of the 2026 season.
Jacobs received a one-week roster exemption when he was taken of the Commissioner Exempt list this week, but the team announced that he has been activated to play against the Lions on Sunday. Head coach Matt LaFleur suggested that would be the case on Friday when he said Jacobs had shown he’s ready to play after missing the first six games of the year.
MarShawn Lloyd, Pierre Strong, and Kaleb Johnson have been handling the running back duties for Green Bay in Jacobs’s absence.
The Packers also activated defensive tackle Jordon Riley from the physically unable to perform list, signed wide receiver Coleman Owen to the active roster from the practice squad and elevated defensive end Arron Mosby from the practice squad on a temporary basis.
